Hugh Crawford will give a talk titled The Curragh – a unique landscape, that will place the Curragh in its ecological and historical contexts, highlighting this unique landscape’s importance to County Kildare and the Nation as a whole in terms of its Flora and Fauna, Archaeology, and more recent history with the establishment of the Military Camp in the Nineteenth Century. The talk will also include an exploration of the unique legislation governing the Curragh plains and their management.

Following the talk Hugh will welcome questions and debate as well.
