Our next talk will be by Dr Fionnuala Walsh on Monday, 13 February 2023 at 7.45pm in Celbridge library.

Title is: ‘Life can never be the same again’: women’s experiences of the Great War, in Ireland 1914-1918.

Dr Fionnuala Walsh is lecturer in Modern Irish History in University College Dublin. Her first book, Irish women and the Great War, was published by Cambridge University Press in 2020.
She will talk about her research into women’s experiences in conflict. This subject has particular resonance in the context of the war in Ukraine.
