To celebrate Irish Design 2015 we have arranged the following list of lectures that may be of interest to you.

The first talk in our lecture series takes place on Tuesday 26th of May, in the Hunting room of the Stable Wing.
David Skinner will present `Whims and Fripperies`: Attitudes to pattern in the 18th century big house.

30th June:  Fiona Ahern, presenting `Designing carriages for Irelands elite`: an examination of the work practices of John Hutton  and Sons, coach builders late 18th and early 19th century

28th July: Myles McKenna, presenting `Designing your Country Mansion`- a ‘how to’ guide

25th August: Jeanne Meldon, presenting `From green pastures to designed landscape`: the evolution of the Castletown Demesne

29th September: Dr Alison Fitzgerald, presenting `Taking Tea with the Georgians`- the material culture of tea & coffee drinking

27th October: Dr Patsey Bodkin, presenting `Castletown House, a model for design education `

Car parking available at the Stable Wing with easy access from Exit 6, Celbridge West, off the M4 motorway. Castletown is just 20km from Dublin city centre.
