Radio Castledermot is a service that uses Facebook and Twitch to podcast local content for Castledermot and surrounding districts. A regular programme on Radio Castledermot is WhatMatters, a talk show hosted by John Phelan. On Monday 30th January, John will be joined by Sharon Greene to talk about the built heritage of Castledermot and the surrounding areas, as well as the importance of these sites and structures.
Sharon Green has been involved in a number of community heritage projects through Castledermot Local History Group, liaising with the Irish Walled Towns Network and Kildare County Council Heritage Office.
Sharon is also a council member of the County Kildare Archaeological Society and is editor of Archaeology Ireland Magazine.
