Castledermot Local History Group is the local history group for the south Kildare village of Castledermot and surrounding areas.

Castledermot Local History Group was formed in October 2010 by a small group of interested locals who recognised the rich and valuable history of the area. The monthly talks provide an opportunity to discuss and share that history and to raise awareness of other projects the committee has initiated, including the town becoming a member of the Irish Walled Town Network and the creation of a series of heritage panels for display in the town’s new community centre.
