Kildare County Council Announces Decade of Commemorations 2023 Grant Schemes
Kildare County Council is inviting applications for two funding opportunities under the 2023 County Kildare Decade of Commemorations Programme.
Kildare Decade of Commemorations Community Heritage Grant Scheme
The County Kildare Decade of Commemorations Community Heritage Grant Scheme is open for applications to individuals, groups and organisations in County Kildare that are carrying out projects in relation to the Decade of Commemorations (1912-23) period.
Funding of between €400 and €2500 is available for individual projects under the grant scheme.
Commemorative projects that promote community engagement, especially those relating to County Kildare in the period 1922-23, are particularly encouraged. Examples of projects funded in recent years include public talks, local publications and audio-visual material.

Kildare Decade of Commemorations Creative & Artistic Bursary Award(s)
The Decade of Commemorations Creative & Artistic Bursary Awards are open for applications from individual artists, art groups and community groups from County Kildare for artistic and creative community-led responses based on the Decade of Commemorations themes also.
Funding of up to €7,500 is available for individual projects under the grant scheme.
Examples of successful projects awarded funding in recent years including artistic work on the impact of the revolutionary decade on the people of County Kildare, a historic images exhibition and a celebration of Irish art and literature through drama.
