Funding Opportunity for Decade of Centenaries Arts Project

The Arts Council and Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media are delighted to announce that the Art 2023 – Participation Award is open for applications and will close on the 13th October @ 5.30pm.

This once-off funding opportunity has an emphasis on collaboration and participation. We are seeking applications for ambitious work made in collaboration between professional artists, architects and arts organisations and non-professional groups or communities of interest and/or place. Award priorities are based on artistic excellence and the quality of collaborative arts practice. Artists and communities are encouraged to work together to respond with new perspectives on the themes of the Decade of Centenaries. The outcomes of this award will be the creation of an excellent and ambitious programme of public-facing work that encourages inclusivity, diversity, participation, provocation and discourse on identity of place, space and people.

This cross-artform award is open to eligible applications from individual artists, arts organisations and/or non-professional groups. Strategically Funded organisations and Arts Centres are encouraged to support applications, but may also be the lead applicant – you must demonstrate that the proposal is in addition to, and separate from your currently proposed programme.

Awards will be between €50,000 – €150,000. Successful projects will be announced in December 2022 and projects will be completed in the course of 2023.
