In acknowledgement of Maynooth’s status as an Autism Friendly Town, a sensory tour of the Castle was arranged for May 9th during the 2026 Maynooth University, Arts and Minds Festival. The tour was fully booked out well in advance and was enjoyed by the families that attended.
Maynooth 850 worked with the Donna Phelan, Maynooth Autism Friendly Town Committee, Karen Kelly, Arts and Minds Co-ordinator, OPW and Maynooth Castle Guides to deliver this event
