Naas Local History Group – Spring / Summer Programme for 2013.
Tuesday 2nd April: “Presentation of Heritage Cup” to Seán and Marian English on their restoration of two cottages at Gleann na Greine, Naas. The presentation will be followed by two talks. Ronnie Kinane will speak on the past residents of the area and Liam Kenny will speak on the former Railway Station @ Naas Library 7.45 pm
Sunday 21st April: “Walking Sunday at Punchestown Racecourse” Meet at Parade Ring 3pm – Talk by Stan Hickey
Sunday 12th May: “Visit to Kerdiffstown House” @ 3pm Talk by Brian O’Connor
Thursday 23rd May: “Learn about your Town” Town Walk. Meet at Lawlor’s Hotel, Poplar Sq. @ 7.30pm – Talk by PC Behan & Liam Kenny
Sunday 2nd June: “Trip to Watch House @ Ladytown” @ 3pm – Talk by Brian McCabe
Saturday 6th July: “Bus Trip to Limerick” – Details later.
Tuesday 9th July: “Town Walk in vicinity of Market House & Old Gaol” Meet The Harbour, Naas @ 7.30pm – Talk by Various Speakers.
Saturday 20the July: “Visit Coolcarrigan House, Church and Garden” @ Coolcarrigan House, Timahoe – Talk by Ger McCarthy. Meet at Coolcarrigan House at 2.30 pm.
