The Clane Local Histotry Group have just launched a new local history website for Clane and the surrounding areas.
The website includes a history of the town, its people and places, as well as old photographs, a calendar of events for the Clane Local History Group, useful local historical links, and an information blog outlining the group’s activities. In addition, the group has made a very generous gesture to those interested in Clane and Co. Kildare’s local history, in making freely available on their new website PDF format copies of all previous Coiseanna Journals (from 2012-2022).
The committee members, Jim Heffernan, Brendan Cullen, and Larry Breen, are very proud of this achievement and would particularly like to thank Clane Local Historian, Lorcan Harney, for all his work in designing, formatting, and posting to the website.
