Celbridge Historical Society’s next talk will take place on Monday, 9 June 2025 at 7.30pm in Celbridge library.  
The title of Dr Frances Nolan’s talk is:  ‘Runners and riders: 230 years of jump racing in Kildare’.

Frances Nolan is a historian based in UCD. She has published on political, social and gender history. Her latest book, National hunt and point-to-point racing in Ireland: a history’ is due to appear in September 2025. Her family has had a long association with horse racing in Ireland. Tracing the evolution of national hunt and point-to-point racing in Ireland from the eighteenth century to the present day, her talk will focus on Kildare.
