Federation Seminar 2024

County Kildare Federation of Local History Groups’ AGM & Seminar took place in Kilcullen Heritage Centre on Saturday 19th October 2024.

The 2004 Federation Seminar and AGM took place in the Heritage Centre in Kilcullen on Saturday 19th October. We had representatives from a number of the affiliated groups on the day to attend two talks, Devoy’s Post Bag by Noel Cocoman, and an exploration of Photogrammetry generated 3D models of County Kildare historic monuments and buildings by the Federation’s webmaster, Seán Sourke. The break was a chance for all in the county’s history community to catch up and share experiences over a cup of tea and some biscuits. Groups who had a publication during the year were invited to bring them them along on the day for sale.

Following the talks the AGM included, as always, a summery of the affiliated groups’ activities during the year presented by their representatives – a valuable source of ideas and encouragement.
