Book launch with author Martin Malone, followed by a discussion of his new work of
historical fiction set amid the highly charged atmosphere of the 1798 Rebellion in Kildare.

From Crown to Harp: How the Anglo-Irish Treaty was undone 1922-1949

David McCullagh will recount the remarkable story of the peaceful revolution that took Ireland from part of the Commonwealth to a Republic.

Dr. Pádraig Lenihan will provide a fascinating insight into the brutal Irish Wars of Religion
(1641-1653), in which the art of siege warfare played a crucial role. The presentation will reference aspects of these wars in Kildare.
