The Athy Book Fair will take place in the ARCH Centre on Saturday, 25th March from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. Free Admission and Free Car Parking for those attending.
The former Dreamland Ballroom in Athy which so often in the past hosted Ireland’s most famous Showbands will on that Saturday be the venue for the South Kildare towns first National Book Fair. Organised by Athy Lions Club, the book fair will see many book dealers from around the country offering a huge and interesting range of second hand books for sale.
Local author Frank Taaffe will feature on one stall devoted to the sale of books he has written on different aspects of Athy’s history.
