Friends of the Curragh Museum Invitation to Open Days

Friends of the Curragh Museum Invitation to Co. Kildare Local History Groups

Last Autumn the Friends of the Curragh Museum held two Open Days for members of the Local History Groups in the local towns with Military connections, e.g. Naas, Kildare, Newbridge. We, with the approval of the GOC of the Curragh, intend to repeat this in the next couple of months and I now have pleasure in inviting:

Co. Kildare Federation Local History Group’ members

To a familiarisation day in the Curragh Camp on 21st April 2013

The details of the events are as follows:

2pm Assemble at the Watertower Conference Centre opposite the Garrison Church in the Camp.

2.15pm Lecture on the Camp.

3pm Tour of Camp with Guide to include the Clock Tower, Military Museum, Curragh Local History Group premises.

5pm Return to Conference Centre for Debrief, Tea and Biscuits.

As space in the different facilities is limited regretably only 30 persons
will be able to attend the day.

For Security purposes please submit the names and addresses of those attending
to our Hon Sec. at least one week in advance.

We look forward to a good attendance.

Please reply to the Hon. Sec.:
