Throughout its long history the JKAS has remained an invaluable resource for anyone interested the history and archaeology of Co. Kildare. It is therefore of great significance, and in keeping with the positive emphasis in recent years on open and accessible data, that the complete archive of the society’s journal dating back to 1891 will be made freely available online through this new digital archive following its launch at the seminar.
The Story of the Curragh & Cuirrech Life – The Curragh of Kildare
Two other launches will take place at the seminar. Abarta audio-guides will launch their latest guide The Story of the Curragh at the seminar, and one of the guest speakers, Dr John Feehan, will also launch the second edition of his book, Cuirrech Life – The Curragh of Kildare.
