The Heritage Council has announced a new grant scheme, not to be confused with the Kildare County Council Community Heritage Grant Scheme. This grant scheme is available through their online grants management system. The closing date is Friday 20th March at 5pm. Attached are details of guidelines for this years grant. See www.heritagecouncil.ie/grants/ for all the details.The objective of this scheme is to support community-based projects that contribute to one or more of the following three themes:
- Researching the heritage of towns, villages and landscapes
- Enhancing through good management practice, the heritage of towns, villages and landscapes
- Raising awareness of the heritage of towns, villages and landscapes for inhabitants and visitors.
The nature of projects, under this scheme is very broad; they can be educational, repairs to buildings, conservation plans, research etc. More information is available by following links from the Heritage Council’s home page www.heritagecouncil.ie
