- Maynooth Town Centre is probably the best surviving example of a planned landlord town in Ireland
- To the West it is bound by St. Patrick’s College/ Maynooth University
- To the East it is bound by Carton Demesne
- To the North the Co. Meath border is just behind Maynooth Education Campus and the M4 Motorway is to the south
- The Fitzgeralds shaped the town from the 13th to the 20th centuries
- During the times of the Fitzgeralds (Earls and Dukes) Maynooth at times was the Political Capital of Ireland
- The presence of St. Patrick’s College and Maynooth University has made Maynooth an important Religious and Educational Centre in Ireland
- The presence of the Mill and Mart, Maynooth was an important regional town for Agriculture.
- Our proximity and easy access to Dublin has meant that we have also developed as a commuter town with a large range of local services available here
